Ambassadors
Vance-Granville’s Community College Student Ambassadors are a prestigious team of VCCC’s top student leaders who participate in special events in an official capacity. These students act as liaisons between the college and prospective students, their families, guests, alumni, business partners and friends of the college. The Ambassador program provides student leaders to assist in VCCC Endowment efforts, college outreach efforts, campus wide events, and promote the image of Vance-Granville Community College.

Cosmetology Club
The purpose of this club is to provide cosmetology students a vehicle to create unity among fellow students. Also, the club seeks to promote students’ interests relating to the profession through attendance at hair shows, conventions and educational seminar.
Fitness Club
The purpose of this club is to cultivate a welcoming, inclusive, enthusiastic environment for VGCC student and employees. Under this banner, students of VGCC will come together to participate in a variety of athletic workouts which shall promote healthy movement, positivity, and self-love.

Human Services Technology Club
The purpose of this club is to educate and provide opportunities for the professional growth and development of the Human Services Technology Student at VGCC in supportive of the academic mission of the college. The focus is on educating, inspiring, and supporting personal and professional development and success, networking, peer support, and community service. Medical Assisting Student Organization
The purpose of this club is to become the heart of healthcare as future certified Medical Assistants, while serving our community.

Men’s Achievement Academy
The purpose of the Men’s Achievement Academy is to provide intentional support to male students that will empower them to accomplish their academic and career goals. The club will focus on the pillars of Brotherhood, Scholarship, Professionalism, Service & Leadership.

National Student Nurses Association
With a membership of approximately 58,000 nationwide, the National Student Nurses Association mentors the professional development of future registered nurses and facilitates their entrance into the profession by providing educational resources, leadership opportunities, and career guidance. This looks great on resumes and future employers love to see this.
Pharmacy Technology Club
The purpose of this club is stimulating interest in, and providing a social forum for pharmacy technology throughout the community college. Club members will engage in activities that promote their ability to locate jobs in their desired field by networking with the appropriate agencies. The Pharmacy Technology Club provides opportunities for students, and other interested participants, to expand their understanding of pharmacy technology.
Advisor is Dr. Erica Fleming (Room 5239).
Psychology Club
The purpose of this club is to provide opportunities for Vance Granville Community College students to encounter experiences not possible in the classroom, and to encourage informal interaction between Vance Granville Community College students with a diverse community. In addition, the organization hopes to provide the campus and local community with opportunities to promote Vance Granville Community College. The club invites VGCC students from all disciplines and backgrounds who are interested in psychological issues to join.

Phi Theta Kappa
The purpose of the Alpha Sigma Chi chapter of Phi Theta Kappa is to recognize and encourage scholarship among two-year college students. The society provides opportunity for the development of leadership and service, an intellectual climate for exchange of ideas and ideals, lively fellowship for scholars, and stimulation of interest in continuing academic excellence. Membership is by invitation only. Students must currently be enrolled in a regionally accredited institution offering an associate degree program, have completed at least 12 hours of course work leading to an associate degree, and have a grade point average of 3.5. Members are sent invitations in fall and/or spring semesters and inducted during Spring Semester only.

Radiography Club
This club is open to students enrolled in the Radiography Program, both first and second level. Its functions include fellowship between Main Campus and South Campus, planned activities, and fundraising. Because the club involves students from two class levels and two campuses, the entire club does not meet often. However, elected representatives from each level at each campus will routinely meet with the faculty advisor to represent their classes in planning functions. Meetings rotate between Main and South Campuses.

Student Government Association
The Student Government Association is designed to promote the general welfare of the college in a democratic fashion and to facilitate communication among the student body, the faculty, and the administration. Student government provides a means through which students can promote interest in student activities both on and off campus. Representatives are elected both by department and by student organization. Meetings are held in Building 8 Conference Room, and everyone is invited to attend.

Tabletop Madness Club
Tabletop Madness Club is a club where students can play Magic: The Gathering, Dungeons and Dragons the world’s most popular trading card game, and enjoy fun and friends. Students without experience or cards are invited to come out for any meeting.
Meetings will be the 3rd Friday of every month at the South Campus.
Advisor is Jonathan Jackson (South Campus).
Vance-Granville’s Initiative on Equity for Women of Color (V.I.E.W)
Our mission is to support the success of Women of Color at VGCC through education, empowerment, experience, and exposure in order to significantly increase the persistence and retention rate as well as improve job attainment.
Advisors are Dr. Tracey Carter and Dr. Krystal Foxx .
Vanguard Entrepreneurship Club
The Vanguard Entrepreneurship Club seeks to connect students with business professionals to assist in conceiving successful business/entrepreneurial ideas. This club will allow students to examine and discuss ideas that solve real-world problems from an entrepreneurial mindset approach.
