VGCC’s Aviation program consists of manned and unmanned flight programs. Unmanned flight programs are available to learn control of UAVs (unmanned aerial vehicles, commonly called drones). Many folks buy a drone, but find out afterward they’ve bought the wrong kind of machine for their use, or find the UAV almost impossible to control in a useful way. The VGCC UAV program, in conjunction with the Triangle North’s Total Flight Solutions professionals teaches classes to help people learn to fly a UAV. These classes include a lot of hands-on time with a GPS-controlled, geo-fenced UAV. You will use the school’s equipment. It is a perfect pre-purchase drone class. You learn about different types of equipment and how to fly. In conjunction with these flight control classes, Total Flight Solutions offer’s their professional preparation for the FAA Part 107 Commercial Pilot examination. All but the very smallest of drones require this license to fly. All commercial-use drones also require this license.
