Walkers, Sponsors Sought For WalkAmerica 2002

Vance-Granville Community College is once again participating in the March of Dimes WalkAmerica. The 2002 walk-a-thon is being held on Saturday, April 20.

Lori Forsythe, Susan Miller and Tonya Owen are captains for the VGCC team, and they are seeking people who want to walk in the event and those who are willing to sponsor walkers.

Vance-Granville has long supported this event that raises money to help ensure healthy babies, and the captains are looking to continue the successes of past years. So, give if called upon and, if a walker does not contact you, get in touch with one of the captains and do your share.

Incidentally, anyone who participates this year, either by walking or sponsoring a walker, will receive a coupon for a 25 percent discount on any Belk’s purchase on April 27.
