VGCC Vanguards sign pair from South Carolina

The Vance-Granville Community College men’s basketball team recently picked up a pair of recruits from the Palmetto State. Rayshon Andrews and Tyrell Sabb, recent graduates of Darlington (SC) High School and Latta (SC) High School, respectively, signed letters of intent to join the Vanguards this fall.

Andrews (6’3”) was a forward on the Darlington Falcons team that went 20-6 and made it to South Carolina’s 3A state championship game earlier this year.

Sabb (5’11”), a guard, averaged 20 points a game in the 2013-2014 season and was Latta’s leading scorer, earning All-State and All-Region honors.
