VGCC TV Show Features ‘Something New’ In Cyberspace

VGCC’s weekly television show, “ Vance-Granville Today ,” shown on Thursday nights, will unveil something new at Vance-Granville Community College in its next edition.

Exciting changes that will affect VGCC’s website are coming soon, and Ken Lewis, VGCC’s director of information technology, will be featured on this week’s show to reveal the changes.

The Marketing Department produces “Vance-Granville Today.” A new show is produced each month and runs each Thursday evening during the month at 8 p.m. on WAX-TV 34, which is seen on Cable Channel 7 in Vance, Granville, Warren and Franklin counties.

Gerald Fuller, public information officer, hosts the show.

The March show will also feature interviews with Terry Garrison, dean of Workforce Development, and Garland Elliott, director of Economic Development Services. They will discuss the college’s programs to re-train displaced workers.

In addition, Barbara Smith, Career Center coordinator, will discuss Career Day, which is coming up on April 3.

The show will also look at the recent visit to the Franklin County Campus of a delegation from Great Britain, and there will be scenes from Cultural Fair 2002 with comments from Helen Lindsey, chairperson of the Cultural Enhancement Committee.

There will also be several news stories of recent events and occurrences at Vance-Granville Community College.
