VGCC Sets Free Home Business Class

If you’re thinking of starting a home business, Vance-Granville Community College may have just the help you need.

The college’s Small Business Center will sponsor a class, “How to Start a Successful Home Business,” on Tuesday, March 26, in Building 9 on the main campus in Vance County. It is free to area citizens.

Mark Csordos, who has run businesses both from his home and outside the home, will be the instructor and share the pros and cons of a home business. He will discuss issues such as zoning, looking professional, marketing your business, legal and insurance matters, and how to balance family and friends while trying to work.

The 3-hour class will run from 6 to 9 p.m. For more information and to pre-register, call the Small Business Center at 738-3240 or 492-2061, extension 3240 or 3239.
