VGCC Seminar examines Customer Service through Disney World

Vance-Granville Community College’s Small Business Center will present a free seminar, entitled “Customer Service: Create a Disney Experience,” on Tuesday, Sept. 14 from 9 a.m. until Noon in room 7107 of Building 7 on the college’s main campus in Vance County.

Seminar instructor John Formica of Charlotte will help participants learn how to define the purpose of an organization, how to achieve superior teamwork, how to empower staff to want to do a great job, ways to make courtesy more important than efficiency, how to bring passion back to an organization, and how to hire people to fill roles — not positions. Formica uses Walt Disney World as an example of a business continually producing a dynamic model of excellence.
