VGCC Offers Workplace Communication Class

Vance-Granville Community College will offer a free course, “Communication for the Workplace,” for non-native-English speakers at the college’s main campus in Vance County, this summer and again this fall.

The first session will be held on Saturdays, July 19 through Sept. 20, from 10 a.m. until 1 p.m. The second session will also be on Saturdays, October 4 through December 6, from 10 a.m. until 1 p.m. Both will be held in Building 4, room 4248.

Topics of the course will include basic workplace vocabulary, American workplace culture and customs, basic typing/keyboarding, basic math skills, basic word processing, job searching and job readiness.
