VGCC Offers Seminar on Business with Government

Vance-Granville Community College’s Small Business Center will host a free seminar explaining how to do business with state and federal government agencies on Tuesday, September 19, from 8:30 a.m. until 11:30 a.m. in Room 7107 of Building 7 on the college’s Main Campus in Vance County.

Topics covered by the seminar will include the ways that government agencies buy goods and services, how to register a business with the government, how to market your business to the government, and government programs that show preferences for minority-owned, service-disabled, and under-utilized business regions.

Tim Linker, a government procurement counselor from the North Carolina Small Business and Technology Development Center, will serve as instructor for the seminar.

VGCC Small Business Center Director Diane Finch advised that space is limited for this free seminar.  To reserve a seat, pre-register by calling the Small Business Center at (252) 492-2061, ext. 3239 or 3240.
