VGCC Offers Nurse Aide Refresher Course

Vance-Granville Community College will teach a Nurse Aide Refresher class starting on Feb. 25 at the Main Campus in Vance County.

The class will run from 8 a.m. to 12 noon, Monday-Thursday in Room 6149, Feb. 25-March 13.

This class is for nurse aides who have expired listings within the last four years with the state Department of Facility Services, or nurse aides who have moved from another state and need to be listed in North Carolina. The course consists of lectures and labs, and the written and skills performance exams. 

Cost of the class is $60 plus books. Interested persons can register on Feb. 24 at 3 p.m. in the classroom. For more information, call Julie Cooke, VGCC nurse aide training coordinator, at 252-738-3366.
