Do you havean idea for a business and don’t know where to start?

Vance-Granville Community College can help you get started with a three-hour class: “Ten Steps to Starting Your Own Business.” The class will be held from 6 to 9 p.m. on Wednesday, March 26, in Building 9 on the VGCC main campus in Vance County. And it’s free!

Jess McLamb of The Roper Group in Raleigh, who teaches numerous business classes for Vance-Granville’s Small Business Center, will lead the seminar. It will cover what you should know before committing yourself and financial resources to starting a small business. McLamb said information shared in the class should help participants make a feasibility assessment and understand minimum start-up requirements, licensing, markets, and financial and tax requirements.

Persons in this class should call the Small Business Center at (252) 492-2061 for more information and to pre-register.
