VGCC Offers Course on Microsoft Office

Vance-Granville Community College will offer a course this summer on the popular Microsoft Office 2003 software programs.In this course, participants will learn the basics of Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint 2003. Students will be introduced to creating, formatting, editing, and saving word processing documents. They will use Microsoft Excel to generate and edit basic worksheets and Microsoft PowerPoint to create and modify slides in order to run as an on-screen slide show. Additionally, students will improve or practice their keyboarding skills in this class.This course will be offered during the day and at night in Building 7 on the college’s main campus in Vance County. Students who choose the night class will begin May 30 and continue on Monday and Wednesday nights through August 6. Classes will be held from 6 p.m. until 9 p.m. The day class will be held on Mondays and Wednesdays, June 4 through August 8, from 9 a.m. until 1 p.m. The cost for either class is $60, plus a $3 technology fee.For more information and to register for these classes, call VGCC at (252) 738-3239 or (252) 738-3417.
