VGCC Offers Basic Drawing Art Class

Vance-Granville Community College will offer a new class “for those who love art and want to learn a new skill.”

Veteran art instructor Lelia Brigham will teach Basic Drawing on Tuesdays, beginning April 2, from 9:15 a.m. to 12:15 p.m. on the main campus in Vance County.

Brigham said the class will be for new students to learn the drawing technique and for other art students to upgrade their skills. The class will provide experience in pencil, charcoal, felt tip markers and other media.

“Some drawing on the right side of the brain will be experienced to bring out the creative side of the students,” Brigham added. “The class will include instruction in figure and portrait drawing, also.”

To pre-register for the class, call the VGCC Continuing Education department at 252-738-3316 or 252-492-2061, ext. 3316.
