VGCC Honors Graduates of Nurse Aide Programs
Vance-Granville Community College recently held a combined graduation and pinning ceremony for students who completed the Certified Nursing Assistant (or Nurse Aide) I and II programs at the Main Campus and at Kittrell Job Corps Center. The 49 graduates were honored in ceremonies on December 10 and December 12 at the VGCC Main Campus. These graduates are now eligible to take the North Carolina Nurse Aide competency exams and then to work in various health care settings, such as hospitals and home health agencies.
The CNA I graduates included Traci Spry and Teresa Terry, both of Bullock; Ashley Patterson of Creedmoor; Gloria Kelly of Durham; Cassandra Alexander, Shaquita Brandon, Amanda Coleman, Vivian Davis, Jamie Evans, Elizabeth Hamrick, Sarah Johnson, Guadalupe Maldonado, Elizabeth Pendergrass, Janet Raines, Brandi Shearin, Latoya Taylor and Sherry Watson, all of Henderson; Joan Currin, Ernestine Hart, Jah-Pree Jackson, Kasi Lassiter, Ikea Miller, Maurice Pridgen, Monique Spratt, Kelly Spencer and Janet Webb, all of Kittrell; Ellen Seward of Manson; Vermadine Clark, Danielle Elliott, Bobbie Hargrove, Margaret Hargrove, Catherine Jefferys, Lisa Tarlton, Mamie Thorpe and Jessica Whitfield, all of Oxford; and Mindy Wallace of Rougemont.
The CNA II graduates included Dawn Minkley of Creedmoor; Lenora Allen, Linda Temple-Cunha and Martha Williams, all of Franklinton; and Esther Chavis and Kerry Gomez, both of Oxford.
