PROGRESS ENERGY SCHOLARSHIP

Martha Thompson, manager of community relations for Progress Energy, presents $6,000 from her company to Vance-Granville Community College President Robert A. Miller to endow an Academic Achievement Scholarship at the college. The interest earned from the donation will provide a $500 scholarship each year to a deserving student at Vance-Granville. The first Progress Energy scholarship will be presented this fall.
