Nurse Aide Refresher Course offered at VGCC

Vance-Granville Community College will offer a Nurse Aide Refresher course at the college’s main campus in Vance County this summer. For the convenience of students, both day and evening schedules are offered. The day class will be Monday through Thursday from 8 a.m. until 2:30 p.m., July 5 through July 13. The evening class will be held Monday through Thursday from 5:30 until 9:30 p.m., July 18 through Aug. 2.

 

Registration is currently underway for the day class, with registration for the evening class beginning July 6.

 

This course prepares students for the North Carolina Nurse Aide Competency exam and is for students seeking re-listing on the N.C. Nurse Aide Registry. This course is designed to review the basic concepts and skills of the Nursing Assistant Level 1 course and to learn about the state competency testing procedure. Generally, the participants of this class are students whose previous CNA I certification has lapsed and are seeking reinstatement.

 

The cost of the course is $120 plus a $3 campus access/security fee.
