In addition to PENC, VGCC and Novozymes, the local co-sponsors are Piedmont Community College and Progress Energy.

VGCC and Novozymes North America, an international leader in industrial enzymes, microorganisms, and biopharmaceutical ingredients, have a long-standing relationship. The company helped develop the BioWork training program, which is offered at the college’s Franklin County Campus , and also partners with VGCC’s Bioprocess Technology degree program. Novozymes has supported the VGCC Endowment Fund by endowing scholarships and serving as a sponsor of the college’s annual golf tournament .
