New Online Health Sciences Resources available for Students

The Learning Resources Center (LRC) at Vance-Granville Community College recently announced that the college’s students and faculty now have access to two outstanding health science-focused e-Resources: Anatomy.TV and the STAT!REF database. The North Carolina Community College System office recently licensed both resources, offered through the National Library Alliance, for use by all of the state’s 58 community colleges.

Anatomy.TV offers users a highly acclaimed 3-D real-time graphics platform for the study of human anatomy. Users will have access to the program’s functional anatomy feature. Students and faculty using computers on VGCC campuses can access Anatomy.TV without a password at http://online.statref.com/Anatomy/Anatomy.aspx?SessionId=12F3C16IMPGJVHYV .
Off campus, they can remotely access Anatomy.TV using the user name, “smit5555” and the password, “smit5555.”

STAT!REF provides access to 35 well-known health science texts covering topics from diagnoses to wound management. Students and faculty using computers on VGCC campuses can access STAT!REF without a password at http://online.statref.com/Splash/Splash.aspx?SessionId=12F3C1DASPXDLCSK .

Off campus, they can remotely access STAT!REF using the user name, “vgccrn” and the password, “vanguards.”
