New Courses Begin in May at VGCC South Campus

Vance-Granville Community College will offer two new courses later this month at its South Campus, located on N.C. 56 between Creedmoor and Butner.First, South Campus will offer a class on “Writing Your Memoir,” starting on May 23. This course will be held on Wednesdays from 6 p.m. until 9 p.m. through June 27. Students will learn how to write about their lives in the form of a memoir, so that family traditions and stories can be passed down through generations. The cost of the course is $25. The VGCC Small Business Center will host a free seminar entitled “So You Want to Buy a Home?” at the South Campus on Tuesday, May 29 from 6 p.m. to 10 p.m. Students will learn the step-by-step process of purchasing a home, from pre-qualification to the “moving in” phase.
