Line Dancing Classes Return To VGCC

Have you been to a party or club recently and felt left out because you couldn’t line dance? Vance-Granville Community College wants to help you get into the swing.

Line Dancing classes will be taught at the main campus in Vance County on Tuesdays, beginning March 18 and running through May 6 from 7 to 8 p.m. in the lower level of Building 9, underneath the Civic Center.

Lori Forsythe, who has taught line dancing several years at the college, says participants will learn new dances like “Sunset Steel,” “Cajun Skip,” “Cha Cha Slide,” and “Armadillo.” Dancing will be taught to songs by Faith Hill, Mary Chapin Carpenter, Tracy Byrd and NSYNC.

Cost of the classes is $30, plus a $2 parking fee is required. Interested persons can pre-register by calling (252) 738-3316, or they can register at the first class on March 18.
