FARM FUN

In conjunction with a “Farmyard Fun” learning unit, the children and staff of the Vance-Granville Community College Day Care Center were recently visited by Mr. and Mrs. Terry Davis and some furry friends from their farm. In the center of the picture, Mr. Davis and his grandson, Jackson, hold a baby goat, surrounded by children and staff from the Day Care Center. The children fed and held two baby goats and observed a hen. Another highlight of the week’s study was a milking experience with “Bessie,” a mechanical dairy cow on loan to the school from the farm of Pete Burgess of Epsom. (VGCC Photo)
