Cultural Fair Entertains, Educates

Jonathan Baptist, a Business Administration student, donned a sombrero to share information with Vance-Granville Community College students and members of the community attending the Cultural Fair March 26 in the Civic Center. 

Lyubov Karcha, left, came to the United States in 2001 from Ukraine and is currently a student at VGCC. When she arrived at the Civic Center March 26 to man the Ukraine table, she met Myla Frazier, dark coat, who is also from Ukraine, is married to an American and attends VGCC at its Franklin County Campus. They had lots to talk about to each other as well as to visitors to their table.

 

 

 

Students from thirteen countries were represented in the International Student exhibit, which included flags, garments, artifacts and food.

Members of the Cultural Enhancement Committee prepared and served foods representative of their national or cultural origins.
