Ambassador Spotlight Meet Harry Burman

Meet Harry Burman, Networking major at Vance-Granville Community College.

Born in Bombay, India, Harry listed his hobbies as computers, fishing, reading and antiques.

Harry said that his long-range plans are to join a large company similar to IBM or SAS, with the hope of one day being able to “buy that Mercedes I want to give to my wife.”

He joined the VGCC Ambassadors so that he could share his experience and views with other students, as well as to try and make a difference.

Harry’s favorite class is Cisco-Networking, and he said that it is the “thing of the future,” stating that while it is a challenge, it also provides job security.

When asked what advice he would offer to newly enrolled students, Harry said that he would tell them to take advantage of their opportunities and to learn as much and enjoy every moment possible.

Harry already has a degree in Information Systems, and said that he found the Networking curriculum interesting with a great prospect for the future.
