Art class starts June 13 at VGCC Franklin Campus

Vance-Granville Community College’s Franklin County Campus will offer a summer art class on Tuesdays from 9:15 a.m. to 12:15 p.m., June 13 through Aug. 22 (with no class meeting on July 4).

This class will be taught by Theresa Brown of Franklinton, a professional artist and art teacher whose work has been featured in “Our State” magazine, and who has over a thousand portraits displayed in homes and businesses around the globe. Brown recently assumed the duties of teaching this class after longtime personal enrichment art instructor Pam Danzer retired.

“Students work at their own pace, and in their own medium,” said VGCC Personal Enrichment coordinator Gail Clark of the class. “Pencil, watercolor and acrylic are popular in this class.”

The class includes a total of 30 hours of instruction. The cost of the course is $80.

The deadline to register is June 6. Registration can be completed online at vgcc.springerstudios.net/schedules/personal-enrichment or at any VGCC campus. For more information, contact Gail Clark at (252) 738-3385 or ped@vgcc.edu.
