VGCC and Chamber present free Tax seminar for Small Businesses

The Vance-Granville Community College Small Business Center, in partnership with the North Carolina Department of Revenue and the Chamber of Commerce of Warren County , will present a free seminar, called “Business Essentials,” on Tuesday, July 22, from 11:30 a.m. until 1 p.m. at the college’s Warren County Campus in Warrenton (room W432).

 

Lunch will be provided by VGCC’s Warren Campus.

 

In this seminar, the Department of Revenue will cover basic requirements to help businesses in North Carolina understand the laws and obligations necessary to be a compliant business.

 

Participants will become familiar with North Carolina tax laws that are pertinent to businesses and the responsibilities of a business owner. The seminar will cover a range of information including how to register a business and how to properly fill out and send a tax return. Information will also be provided on the Small Business Taxpayer Recovery Program. The seminar will conclude with a question and answer session, and there will also be time allotted for business owners to network.
