VGCC and Chamber present seminar on Every Door Direct Mail Service

The Vance-Granville Community College Small Business Center, in partnership with the Chamber of Commerce of Warren County and the United States Postal Service, will present a free “lunch and learn” seminar on the Every Door Direct Mail Service, on Wednesday, June 4, from noon until 1 p.m. at the college’s Warren County Campus in Warrenton.

George Humphreys, a Business Development Specialist for the USPS, will discuss the Every Door Direct Mail Retail Service, which is “designed to reach every home, every address, every time.”

The program, first introduced in 2011, allows a business to simply pick a particular neighborhood, and a Postal Service letter carrier will deliver a printed piece while delivering the day’s mail. The business does not need to know the names or street addresses in advance. This seminar will include discussion about the USPS design requirements and size options for the card or flyer. Humphreys will demonstrate how to use the USPS Every Door Direct Mail webtool to target the areas for mailing the cards, using demographic information such as age, income and family size.

Attendees are encouraged to bring their own lunch to this seminar.
