VGCC and Chamber present Energy Saver program seminar

The Henderson-Vance Chamber of Commerce , in partnership with Vance-Granville Community College’s Small Business Center , will present a “Lunch Break to Educate” seminar on the Small Business Energy Saver program, on Wednesday, May 7, from noon until 1 p.m. at the Chamber of Commerce office on Garnett Street in Henderson.

Nate Lewis, program manager for the Duke Energy Progress Small Business Energy Saver Program, will present an overview of this new opportunity for small businesses. Through the new Small Business Energy Saver Program, eligible businesses may receive substantial savings on energy-efficiency improvements. Duke Energy Progress will pay up to 80 percent of all materials and installation costs on select lighting and refrigeration improvements and up to 10 percent on eligible HVAC upgrades. Duke Energy Progress pays its portion upfront, so that the business does not need to make a large investment or wait for a rebate.

The cost to attend the seminar is $10 per person, which includes lunch.
