VGCC Psychology instructor offers Stress Management seminars

Peter Metzner, a Psychology instructor at Vance-Granville Community College, will offer a free stress management seminar for students as they prepare for final exams, called “Boost Your Brain.”

This seminar is scheduled to be offered twice: on Monday, April 7 at 1 PM and on Tuesday, April 8 at 1 PM. On both dates, the location is room 6113 of Building 6 on VGCC’s Main Campus.

“When we have stress and anxiety, our brains don’t work very well – our neurons have trouble communicating – and our entire body suffers,” Metzner said. “In this program, we’re going to learn how to de-stress, so that we can feel better, we can be more open to learning, and we can function better during tests.”

Peter Metzner, MA, MPA, BCC (Board Certified Coach), has taught Psychology at VGCC since 2002 and is well-known for his presentations and workshops on dreams and on stress.
