VGCC Small Business Center offers iPad seminar

An upcoming free seminar offered by the Small Business Center at Vance-Granville Community College will help area residents use a popular electronic device for business success.

The “iPad Essentials for Small Business Owners” seminar is scheduled to be held on Thursday, October 3, from 5:30 until 7:30 p.m. in room 7136 on the college’s Main Campus in Vance County.

Tommy Edwards , an instructor for VGCC’s Office Administration and Computer Education curriculum programs, will lead this seminar.

Edwards will show participants that with the right apps, the iPad can be the best tool available for small businesses. “In this seminar, you will learn the basics of using an iPad and discover how an iPad lets small business owners perform tasks like tracking expenses, scanning, generating invoices and more,” Edwards said. Apple’s App Store is full of applications that can help launch, manage and grow a business of any size. Entrepreneurs and managers will leave the seminar with simple techniques that can help them run their businesses more easily and efficiently.
