VGCC Small Business Seminar on Copyrights, Trademarks, Patents scheduled at Franklin Campus

Vance-Granville Community College’s Small Business Center will offer a free seminar, “Basics of Copyrights, Trademarks & Patents,” on Tuesday, April 30, from 6 until 8 p.m. at VGCC’s Franklin County Campus on N.C. 56 near Louisburg.

 

During the seminar, Deborah Gehardt, an attorney from the North Carolina Lawyers for Entrepreneurs Assistance Program (NCLEAP), will discuss the basics of copyrights, trademarks and patents as they pertain to a small business.

 

NC LEAP is a public service program of the North Carolina Bar Association Foundation. NC LEAP provides pro bono legal services to low-wealth entrepreneurs who are starting or expanding their businesses in North Carolina. Through one-on-one representation, community education, and self-help materials, NC LEAP empowers low-wealth business owners to build businesses in North Carolina that create jobs and improve communities.
