VGCC Psychology instructor offers Test Anxiety seminars

Peter Metzner, a Psychology instructor at Vance-Granville Community College, will offer a free seminar for students as they prepare for final exams: “Overcoming Test Anxiety.”

This seminar is scheduled to be offered twice: on Tuesday, April 23 at 1 PM and on Wednesday, April 24 at 1 PM. On both dates, the location is room 6116 of Building 6 on VGCC’s Main Campus.

“When we have stress and anxiety, our brains don’t work very well – our neurons have trouble communicating – and our entire body suffers,” Metzner said. “In this program, we’re going to learn how to de-stress, so that we can feel better, we can be more open to learning, and we can function better during tests.”

Peter Metzner, MA, MPA, CLC, has taught Psychology at VGCC since 2002 and is well-known for his presentations and workshops on dreams and on stress.
