President Randy Parker of Vance-Granville Community College will be the featured guest on NC PEOPLE on UNC-TV this weekend.

Parker will be interviewed by William Friday, retired University of North Carolina president, on the program that airs on the statewide public TV network. The show can be seen at 9 p.m. on Friday, May 19, and again at 5:30 p.m. on Sunday, May 21. NC PEOPLE is carried on Cable Channel 4 in this area.

The interview was conducted about a month ago in the new H. Leslie Perry Memorial Library building in Henderson. Friday also interviewed Sam Watkins, chairman of the Vance County Economic Development Commission, at that time, and that interview has aired previously.

Parker will discuss the role of the community college in economic development, particularly in the rural areas of the state.
