VGCC Plans Microsoft Office Class In Summer at Computer Center

Vance-Granville Community College will offer a “Computer Skills for the Workforce” class this summer on the main campus in Vance County.

The class, which features Microsoft Office 2003 programs, will begin May 22 and run through June 30 from Monday-Friday, 8 a.m. to noon, in the Computer Center of Building 7.

This class will help students learn the keyboard and improve their typing skills, and teach them to create and modify documents with the world’s most popular word processor, Microsoft Word. They will also learn to set up fully formatted worksheets in Microsoft Excel and use Microsoft PowerPoint to create impressive slide presentations with formatted text, images and charts.

Cost of the course is $65. Textbooks are available but are not required.
