VGCC Offers 2 Free Workshops For Small Businesses On April 18

Marketing and development of a business plan are the subjects of free workshops to be presented by Vance-Granville Community College’s Small Business Center on April 18.

Mike Collins, president of Perfect Workday and a frequent presenter at VGCC, will conduct both workshops in Building 9 on the college’s main campus in Vance County.

“Marketing in Tough Times” will be held from 1 to 4 p.m. Collins will cover strategies for planning a low-cost marketing program and identifying the best types of media for your purposes. He will also share tips on designing a public relations program.

From 6 to 9 p.m., Collins will present “How to Develop a Business Plan.” He will help business operators prepare for the unexpected and will let you know what your plan really needs to keep you on track and to attract capital.

For more information, and to register for either or both classes, call the VGCC Small Business Center at (252) 492-2061, extension 3240 or 3239.
