VGCC Schedules EMT-Basic, Refresher Courses In March

An Emergency Medical Technician-Basic course will begin March 26 at Vance-Granville Community College. This course will also provide the requirements for EMTs who need refresher training.

The 20-week course will be held on the main campus in Vance County two evenings a week from 7 to 10 and on several Saturdays. Complete schedules for both the EMT Basic and EMT Refresher courses will be handed out at orientation, which will be held at 7 p.m., March 26, in the mobile classroom on the main campus.

Tuition is $65 for the EMT-Basic course and $60 for the EMT-Refresher course, payable the first night of class. Tuition may be waived for members of such agencies as fire departments, rescue squads, law enforcement agencies and 911 centers. All students must pay the cost of books and parking fees.
