Exhibit Features VGCC Art

Vance-Granville submitted 15 pieces of artwork by staff, faculty and students to the N.C. Community College Systems office for possible exhibit during the year at the Caswell Building in Raleigh. One piece, a portrait by Pam Danzer, a Continuing Education art student at Franklin Campus, was selected for display.

Leo Kelly Jr., dean of Continuing Education, has decided to put the other works on display in the Civic Center lobby during May so that VGCC folks can see what their co-workers are producing. A quilt by Peggy Stocks and a wire sculpture by Lelia Brigham (both of whom teach personal enrichment classes), pottery by Copper Rain and a photograph by Gerald Fuller will be displayed along with paintings from students in Mary Harris’ class at the Franklin County Campus.
