VGCC Franklin Campus invites public to Open House

Vance-Granville Community College’s Franklin County Campus will host an open house on Thursday, July 28 from 4 p.m. until 6:30 p.m. This interactive information session will be held in the Multi-Purpose Room on the campus, which is located on N.C. 56 about one mile west of Louisburg. The open house will occur during the registration period for the upcoming fall semester. Students may register for courses in curriculum programs at the Franklin County Campus, any other VGCC campus, or online.

 

“This will be a fun, informal event at which all members of the community can find out more about the programs and courses offered here at the Franklin County Campus ,” said the campus dean, Bobbie Jo May. “You can meet our outstanding faculty, staff and students and ask them about our affordable college degrees, diplomas and certificates. Whether you are interested in starting a new career, becoming more employable or getting the first two years of a four-year degree, we have options and services available to meet your needs.”

 

Light refreshments will be served at the open house.

 

Among the opportunities that guests can learn about will be the two-year Bioprocess Technology degree program and the one-semester BioWork course, both of which provide training in North Carolina’s growing biotechnology industry. Franklin Campus is home to one of VGCC’s two state-of-the-art biotech labs. The campus also houses the VGCC Medical Assisting curriculum program, which prepares multi-skilled health care professionals qualified to perform administrative, clinical and laboratory procedures. The open house will also offer information on programs such as College Transfer , Cosmetology and Early Childhood Education , as well as services such as financial aid .
