VGCC Small Business seminar focuses on improving workplace

Vance-Granville Community College’s Small Business Center will offer a free seminar, entitled “How to Create a Positive Work Environment,” from 9 a.m. until Noon on Wednesday, March 14 in room 7107 of Building 7 on the college’s main campus in Vance County.

The seminar seeks to help organizations to boost employees’ energy, enthusiasm and excitement, so that their workplaces can be more productive. The instructor for the seminar, John Formica of Charlotte, will discuss techniques to create a positive atmosphere, even during difficult times; tips to keep things “fresh” at work; the use of humor and fun to build positive relationships at work; and how to welcome mistakes and move on successfully.

VGCC Small Business Center Director Diane Finch advised that space is limited for this free seminar. To reserve a seat, pre-register by calling the Small Business Center at (252) 738-3275 or 738-3240.
