VGCC offers update seminar for Cosmetologists

Vance-Granville Community College’s Small Business Center will offer a one-day course for cosmetologists to update their skills. The Cosmetologist Update seminar, “Up Dos Made Easy,” will be held on Monday, Oct. 13 in room 3226 (Cosmetology classroom) of Building 3 on the college’s main campus, from 8 a.m. until 5 p.m.

The eight-hour seminar will enhance participants’ creativity by designing simple, intermediate and complex traditional up dos with an elegant finish. This seminar will give active cosmetologists eight hours of continuing education credit. VGCC Cosmetology instructor Catherine Lester will teach the seminar.

The cost of the class is $50 plus a $1 campus access fee. Participants should bring their driver’s license, tag number and cosmetologist license number.

VGCC Small Business Center director Diane Finch advised that space is limited to 20 students.
