EXPO 2007 Invites Public to learn about Businesses, Win Prizes

EXPO 2007, the 18th annual business exposition for Vance, Granville, Franklin and Warren counties, will be held on Tuesday, Oct. 9, from 1 to 7 p.m. in the Vance-Granville Community College Civic Center, and the public is invited to attend.

Around 70 area businesses and agencies will be on hand to exhibit their products and services. More than 1,000 area residents will browse through the booths and talk to business owners and operators, some of whom will be taking orders on the spot. There are expected to be several new exhibitors at this year’s show, as well as many who return to EXPO year after year.

In addition to learning about products and services offered by businesses and agencies, visitors to EXPO will have the opportunity to win numerous door prizes given by the vendors. Cash prizes totaling $1,000 will also be awarded, including one prize of $500 and two of $250 each.

EXPO is organized by VGCC’s Small Business Center, the Henderson-Vance County Chamber of Commerce, Chamber of Commerce of Warren County, and Granville County Chamber of Commerce.

In addition, several area businesses sign on each year as sponsors to help assure the success of EXPO. Progress Energy and Wake Electric are Gold Sponsors. Silver Sponsors are Time Warner Cable, Vulcan Construction Materials, Carolina Sunrock, Granville Medical Center and the School of Graphic Arts.
