VGCC Offers Substitute Teacher Training

Vance-Granville Community College will offer a training/refresher course for substitute teachers at its Warren County Campus, starting later this month. The two-week course will be held on Mondays, Wednesdays and Thursdays from 6 p.m. until 9 p.m., starting Oct. 23.

Classes will be taught by instructor Wayne Adcock, who has over 33 years of teaching experience, in room 104 on the Warren County Campus in Warrenton.

Through this course, newcomers to substitute teaching can learn how to effectively manage a classroom, and current substitutes can refresh their skills.
