VGCC Schedules Scrapbooking Class

Vance-Granville Community College’s Franklin County Campus will offer a course on scrapbooking and photo organization this fall. Classes will be held on Mondays, Sept. 17 through Nov. 19, from 6 p.m. until 9 p.m.Instructor Denise Quinn said that the class “will be like attending a weekly scrapbooking party.” Participants will not only learn how to preserve their stories and photos but will also have the opportunity to start and finish a complete album. They will receive information and instructions about creating safe, meaningful photo albums. “This class will provide you with ideas and opportunities to complete your own album,” Quinn said. “As your instructor, I will encourage and celebrate your progress as you create a timeless photo album, quickly and easily. You will have a personal assistant to help you every step of the way.”Both digital and traditional albums/scrapbooks will be covered, in addition to Picfolio Albums. Album Kit options will be available at the first class.“Photo albums build relationships, strengthen self-esteem and remind us of what is important in our lives,” Quinn said. “However, unless you preserve your memories in photo-safe albums using photo-safe products, the photos and the stories behind them will be lost forever.”The cost of the class will be $50, plus supplies. For more information and to register, call the Franklin County Campus at (919) 496-1567.
