VGCC holds Meeting on organizing a Community Band

Area musicians are invited to Vance-Granville Community College on Monday, Sept. 8 to discuss forming a community band. An informational meeting will begin at 7 p.m. in the Civic Center on the college’s main campus in Vance County.

Michael Stephenson , the college’s new music instructor, will lead the meeting to discuss the level of interest in the community regarding forming a new band. The proposed group would be a joint effort between interested citizens and VGCC students, who would earn college credit for participation.
