VGCC Franklin Campus Prepares Residents for Holidays in the Kitchen

With holidays fast approaching, Vance-Granville Community College will offer a course, “Holiday Sweets and Treats,” this fall at its Franklin County Campus. Classes will be held Thursday evenings, from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m., Sept. 11 through Nov. 13, on the campus, which is located on N.C. Highway 56 near Louisburg.

“This hands-on class offers great ideas for quick and easy holiday goodies that will tantalize your taste buds,” according to Franklin Campus Director Anthony Pope. The students will also be introduced to the world of “Pastry Art” with a brief introduction to cake decorating by their instructor, Chef George E. Blow, who is an Honors Graduate of the Pennsylvania Culinary Institute.

The cost of the course is $50, plus supplies.
