More students join VGCC Volleyball squad

Two Vance-Granville Community College students recently signed up to become the third and fourth new players on the Vanguards women’s volleyball team for the 2013 season. Pictured above: From left, Jessica Rooks of Franklinton and Kayla Padgett of Henderson signed letters of intent to join the team in February.

Rooks (5’5”), a South Granville High School graduate now enrolled at VGCC with plans to enter the Associate Degree Nursing program, is new to organized volleyball. Padgett (5’3”), meanwhile, played high school volleyball as a setter for the Victory Christian School Eagles. She is enrolled in the College Transfer program at VGCC.
