Holly Elizabeth Turner Memorial PMA Scholarship Established

Mary Alice Black of Raleigh, a Granville County native, presents $12,000 to President Randy Parker of Vance-Granville Community College to establish a Presidential Merit Award Scholarship at the school. The Holly Elizabeth Turner Memorial Scholarship was established in the memory of Mrs. Black’s granddaughter who was a College Transfer student at VGCC when she died in an automobile accident. The award endows a scholarship that will award $1,000 each year to a deserving College Transfer student.
