Day Care Store Is Open

Riley Proctor of Henderson, left, and Madison Williamson of Oxford show off items made by children at the Vance-Granville Community College Day Care Center that they are selling in a store set up in the center. Items made by the children include beaded necklaces and bracelets, bookmarks, picture frames and decorative items. Proceeds from sales go to the March of Dimes WalkAmerica, which is being held on the VGCC main campus Saturday, April 17. The children have raised more than $250 from sales to benefit the March of Dimes.
